This article will show you how to do the following:

  • Provision Polycom SoundPoint IP phones (SPIP)

Methods:

This tool may not interact properly with Chrome, use incognito mode or an alternate browser.

This article is for phones with firmware v3.0 and earlier, SPIP phones with v4.0 and up will look the same as a VVX Model phone when provisioning.

  1. Get the IP address for the phone, Press Menu>2>2>1 on the phone.
  2. Open a web browser and type in HTTP://your IP address.
  3. If asked for a Username, enter Polycom, or click Admin and use 8446116110 or 456 for the password.
  4. Click Lines at the top.
  5. Set the Line 1 Display Name, Label and Third Party Name to the users name for this device.
  6. Ensure that the Address, Authentication User ID and Password matches the user ID for this user. This information can be found in SPBX>Devices>Edit>Advanced> SIP for the device in question.
  7. In the Address field, enter the Realm information. This information can be found in SPBX>Devices>Edit>Advanced> SIP for the device in question. (This is the REALM address and NOT the Provisioning URL)
  8. Scroll to bottom of page and click Submit/Save.
