How To - Provision Polycom Phones

Skype for Business:
Some Polycom phones have this feature on them and needs to be disabled by doing the following.
- Navigate to Advanced in the settings area.
- Select Networking and set the profile to Generic.
Moving Phones from one account to another:
When moving a phone from one account to another, make sure to remove the phone from the old account AND you will need to contact Audian Support to have a new configuration setup for the phone.
Methods:
Description: This method is the easiest way to provision a phone by collecting the IP address of the phone, logging into it from a web browser, and configuring the phone from its GUI.
- Get the phones IP address using the following method.
- IP Series: Press Menu>2>2>1 on the phone.
- VVX Series: Press Home>Settings>4>1>1 on the phone.
Open a web browser and in the address bar type in HTTPS://<IP address>.
Newer firmware versions will require HTTPS:// to access the GUI.
You may get a page saying the address is not secure, click Advanced>Take me there anyways.
- Enter in the login credentials.
- Username: admin
- Password: 8446116110 OR 456 if the Polycom is in a default state.
- If the above passwords do not work, contact Audian support.
- Scroll over the Settings drop-down tab.
- Select Provisioning Server.
- Set the Server Type to HTTP.
- Set the Server Address to q.audian.com/p/"account string".
- Delete the contents in Server User and Server Password.
- Click on DHCP Menu and set Boot Server to Static.
- Click the Save button.

- Navigate to the Settings option by pressing the Home button or Menu button on the phone.
- From Boot screen, when Initializing Please Wait appears, press Cancel, enter Admin Password when prompted.
- Select 2-Advanced with the directional pad or press 2 on the number pad.
- Enter the phone password.
- Audian Password: 8446116110
- Default Password: 456
- Select 1-Administration Settings with the directional pad or press 1 on the number pad.
- Select 1-Network Configuration with the directional pad or press 1 on the number pad.
- Select Provisioning Server with the directional pad.
- Set the Server Type to HTTP.
- Set the Server Address to q.audian.com/p/"account string".
- Notice on the screen a→1A this button toggles between numbers, letters.
- a→1A: Lowercase letters
- A→>a1: Uppercase letters
- 1→Aa: Numbers
- *= period (.)
- #= /
- Notice on the screen a→1A this button toggles between numbers, letters.
- Delete the contents in Server User and Server Password.
- Press the << soft key button to go back and select DHCP Menu.
- Set the Boot Server to Static.
- Press the << soft key until the phone prompts to save the changes.
- Select the Save and Reboot option and the phone will reboot.
- Factory reset the phone by following the instructions here.
- Hit Cancel.
- The phone will reboot and display a countdown timer on the screen.
- Press Setup during the countdown.
- IF it is missed, Unplug the phone from power, plug it back in, and then press setup during the countdown.
- Type in the password 456 and press OK.
- The screen will display the menu navigation controls.
- Headset Icon: Up
- Speaker Icon: Down
- Volume - icon: Left
- Volume + icon: Right
- Press the Setup button.
- Press Select while Provisioning Server is highlighted (Provisioning Server is highlighted by default).
- Select DHCP Menu.
- Highlight Boot Server.
- Press Edit.
- Scroll Up and select Static.
- Press Ok.
- Press Exit.
- Highlight Server Type.
- Press Edit.
- Scroll Up and select HTTP.
- Press Ok.
- Highlight Server Address and press Edit.
- Type in the server address: The String Provided To you By Audian.
- Notice on the screen a→1A this button toggles between numbers, letters.
- a→1A: Lowercase letters
- A→>a1: Uppercase letters
- 1→Aa: Numbers
- Notice on the screen a→1A this button toggles between numbers, letters.
- Press Ok.
- Press Edit while Server User is highlighted.
- Press - to delete all of the letters and leave it blank.
- Press Ok.
- Press Edit while Password is highlighted.
- Press - to delete all of the letters and leave it blank.
- Press Ok.
- Press Exit.
- Press Exit again.
- Highlight Save and Reboot.
- Press Select.
