Headset Jack Types

Headset Type	Description	Picture
RJ-9	Headsets that plug into an RJ11 "Square" style of the phone jack. Both wired and wireless options exist here. To hook a wired headset just plug it in and then most phones will show a separate button for the headset. Push that button to answer or make a call.
Bluetooth & USB	Bluetooth or USB wireless headsets that use a dongle or connect directly to the Bluetooth of the phone. They allow easy toggling to answer or hang up a call and work great. the only limitation is that the range is closer to about 33 - 60 feet instead of the 300 you will get with a dedicated wireless unit.
2.5mm	Headsets that plug into a circular type of "jack" similar to a headphone. This type of plug is very straight forward, but you will need to verify that the phone has the port to do this (some phones do not include). You will typically not be able to use a headset lifter or other device with this.

Cisco Phones

The Cisco (Linksys) SPA500/SPA900 series headsets will work with Cisco/Linksys SPA 303, SPA501G, SPA502G, SPA504G, SPA508G, SPA509G, SPA512G, SPA514G, SPA525G, SPA525G2. SPA921, SPA922, SPA941, SPA942, SPA962 IP Phones from GN Netcom and Plantronics. If your Cisco Phone is not listed, call us for compatibility.

Jabra Biz 1500 Mono:

Jabra Biz 1500 Duo:

Description: This corded headset is the base Jabra model for 2 ear headset. The headset requires an additional connector to plug into the phone. Both the headset and the connector can be ordered as a bundle.

Cordless Headsets

Wireless Headsets: Both Jabra/GN and Plantronics wireless headsets are compatible with these Cisco SPA series IP phones. To have remote answering, you can add a handset lifter (Plantronics HL10 or GN 1000). These Cisco phones are not hook switch compatible. If you have the SPA 512G, 514G, 525G, 525G2, a Plantronics Cisco SPA EHS hookswitch is available. Also see Cisco 525G EHS setup information. No EHS cable available for Jabra wireless headsets.
