Since Outbound Caller ID can be set in multiple places, it can be difficult to determine where the problem is coming from.
- Start with Caller ID in SmartPBX.
- Ensure that a phone number is set.
- Set the Company Name, this is limited to 15 characters, including spaces.
- Click Save Changes.
- Next, find the number that shows up on caller ID when a call is made, search the number in Smart PBX > Numbers.
- Click the Gear icon for the number, and then click Caller-ID.
- Ensure that the name shown matches customer request, and then click Save Changes.
- Next, click Apps, and then select Callflows.
- Select User.
- Select the desired user from the left, ensure that the Caller ID Name is blank under Outbound Calls.
- Scroll down and click Save.
