This article will show you how to setup voicemail for the first time on a Polycom VVX500.
Want a professional voice greeting? Dial 611 and Audian will record that greeting for you.
- Press the envelope voicemail button located to the top left of the touchscreen.
- The phone will ask for you to enter your password and press #.
- Audian Default Password: 1234
- The system will require that you enter in a new password and confirm it by pressing #.
- Next the system will request to setup your voicemail greeting.
- Once you have recorded your greeting you can!
- Press 1 to save your greeting.
- Press 2 to replay your greeting.
- Press 3 to re-record your greeting.
- Once you have saved your greeting you can hang up the phone.

Do Not Disturb allows you to send calls straight too voicemail.This feature is useful when a user does not want their phone to ring.
Enabled DND is a common support call where the user is not receiving inbound calls. To resolve the issue verify that DND is disabled.
- Press the DND icon located on the middle of the touchscreen.
- Notice that a phone icon will appear on the top right of the screen.
- Press the DND icon again to disable it.
- The phone icon will disappear.
- You can toggle the button tell you see the phone icon and then press it one more time to disable it.
- The phone icon will disappear.
Description:
This article will show you how to place a 3 way call.
- While on an existing call, Press Conference (Note, conference may be hidden behind a "more" button
- Pressing conference will put your existing call on hold, and open a new line.
- Dial the number of the person you want to conference in
- When you have established the second call, press Conference again to complete the conference

- While on a call swipe from left to right on the touch screen, then tap any of the available parking slots

- Once a call is established press the Hold icon that a appears on the touchscreen.

This article outlines how to setup call forwarding on a VVX500.
Setting up forwarding on the phone can only be disabled from the phone.
- Press the Forward Icon located on the touchscreen.
- Select one of the forwarding options by pressing up and down on the navigation pad the Select soft-key.
- Call Forward Always: This will forward all incoming calls to the forwarding number programmed in the phone.
- Call Forward No Answer: This will forward calls if the user does not answer the phone.
- Call Forward Busy: This will forward the call if the user is on a call and a incoming call comes in.
- Enter the number you would like to forward to.
- Press the << soft-key button to delete an existing number.
- Press the Enable icon to confirm the forwarding number and enable the feature.
- To Disable forwarding follow steps 1-2 and press the icon on the right that says Disable.

Description:
This article will show you how to transfer calls. There are two types of call transfers which are Live and Blind.
- Live Transfers allow you to talk to the extension you dialed before you press the Transfer button.
- Blind Transfers allow you to transfer the call to the extension quickly if you do not need to talk to them before transferring.
- Transfer calls to Voicemail allows you to transfer a call directly to another users voicemail box.
Live Transfers:
- Answer the incoming call
- Press the Transfer button
- Enter the extension you want to transfer to.
- Press Send to dial the ext, OR You may wait for the phone to ring.
- Speak to the person you are transferring to, to advise them of the transfer.
- Press Transfer or Hang Up When you are ready to transfer the call.
Blind Transfer:
- Answer the incoming call
- Press the Transfer button.
- Press the Blind button.
- Enter the extension you want to transfer to.
- Press Send, the phone will not ring and the call will transfer before disconnecting your line.
Transfer to Voicemail:
- While on an active call, tap the More softkey, if More does not appear, move to next step.
- Tap the Xfer2VM softkey.
- Enter the Extension that you want to transfer the call to, and then tap the Enter softkey.
